WS100 Panel - 2011 (part one)

Here is the first installment of the WS Panel Video series shot by Marcus Warner this past June in Squaw Valley. Fun viewing as we gear up for another season.

And, if you want to learn more about Marcus check out the most popular ultra site in Australia here:

Great piece - Thornley nails it with "run your race" which can be rather difficlut if you don't know what your race is.
I also find it interesting (but not surprised) that the value of resistance/strength training is not mentioned.

Brad, remember the context. This was Thursday before the race. Now, if we had this discussion in the early part of the season where they could still do some training, then we could talk about AJW's quad-seasoning methods like strapping rocks to your legs and jumping up and down.

Craig - Good point - two days prior vs 6 months out.

You seemed to make a huge impression on Marcus and Andrew AJW. Much of the stuff on Untra168 post WS has been "AJW said this" and "AJW recommended that".

Good stuff!

It's hard to argue with a man who has finished in the top ten 7 times! The video's have gone down a storm over here in Australia and provided a great help to runners with the forthcoming big 100 miler next weekend - The Great North Walk 100 miler.

You should have heard what we use to say about AJW before we met him!
